Maxxelli believes that as a company it is important to give something back to the community and help those who need it. Therefore Maxxelli teams from all the different offices recently got together and decided on plans to encourage the company’s corporate social responsibility, and give something back. The first office to launch their Corporate Social Responsibility is the Chengdu Office. The staff from Maxxelli’s Chengdu office decided to focus on one specific charity, the Chengdu Shuangliu Aizhijia animal shelter.
This animal shelter is lead by the wonderful Mrs Chen. Mrs Chen used to be a businesswoman, but 20 years ago she decided to make a change. She spent over 5 Million RMB, of which 4 million of her personal funds, to set up an animal shelter. Now, she and her 16 workers take care of around 5,000 dogs and cats on 110 acres of land. The shelter takes in as many as 1,000 new animals every month, and spends as much as 20,000 RMB per month to take care of them.
The animals living in the shelter were previously living on the streets, were disabled, ill, or have been abandoned or even abused by previous owners. The shelter feeds the animals, gives them medical treatments, and helps them recover. They give the animals a safe living environment. Mrs Chen and her team do a wonderful job at this, and do the very best with what they have.
The Maxxelli Chengdu team decided to raise money within and outside of the company to help the shelter feed the animals, and to help by volunteering. The past weekend it was time for the Chengdu team to visit the shelter. The group went to the shelter to deliver the animal feed and help out with the dogs. The trip was a great success. Everyone in the team was deeply impressed by the devotion of Mrs Chen and her team to taking care of the animals. The Maxxelli Chengdu team and its members will keep on supporting Mrs Chen’s animal shelter in various ways.
The Maxxelli Chongqing team will be the next office to launch their charity project. The entire China-wide Maxxelli team is excited about the new corporate social responsibility plan. Everyone will work together to make it into a great success.
